Sunshine Coast Australia holidays for families are very common and the area is very well catered to be able to cope with any demands that a family might come up with on their annual trip abroad. Here are some of the top attractions that will draw in any family to this wonderful destination.

Of course, a summer holiday would not be complete without your usual dose of sand, sun and sea and the Sunshine Coast certainly doesn't let you down. The climate is warm all year round and you will always get some great sunshine on any visit. Its not called the Sunshine Coast for nothing! in terms of beaches, there are loads of options from surf beaches to those more suitable for young kids so you will always be able to find something to suit you.

Aside from just relaxing on the beaches, there are numerous different attractions for the whole family to enjoy all over the Sunshine Coast. Some of these will involve a bit of a drive depending on where you are staying but will be well worth it when you are there. One such attraction is to go and do some whale watching in Hervey Bay, where at certain times of the year you will be able to see some beautiful Humpback Whales frolicking in the sea.

Across from the Bay is Fraser Island and this is another must see attraction. It is advisable that you stay for a few days in the area so that you can take in everything and are not too rushed. The island is the largest sand island in the world and is officially a world heritage site. There are stunning beaches and awesome lakes, as well as some incredible wildlife and flora to take in. To truly get stuck in you can rent out your own four by four and cruise round the islands sandy tracks - just be careful not to get yourself stuck!

Another suitably exciting spot for the whole family to enjoy is Australia Zoo, home to the late Crocodile Hunter Steve Irwin. Here you will be able to take in all of the wonderful animals native to Australia as well as enjoy bird and even crocodile shows.

If you are looking for a family vacation in Australia, then the Sunshine Coast is one of your best options.
